Using an iterative technique, the authors establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions to the singular differential system \[ -x'' = f(t, y), \] \[ -y'' = g(t, x), \] \[ x(0) = x(1) = 0, \, y(0) = y(1) = 0. \] Here the function \(f\) may be singular at either \(t = 0\) or at \(t = 1\). In the last section of the paper, the authors extend the results to the systems \[ -x'' = f(t, y, y''),\quad -y'' = g(t, x),\quad 0 < t < 1, \] \[ x(0) = x(1) = y(0) = y(1) = 0,\text{ and }(-1)^n x^{(2n)} = f(t, y),\;(-1)^m y^{(2m)} = g(t, x),\;0 < t < 1, \] \(x^{(2j)}(0) = x^{(2j)}(1) = 0, i = 0, \dots, n-1\), \(y^{(2k)}(0) = y^{(2k)}(1) = 0, k = 0, \dots , m-1\).
