This paper describes a delooping machine for \(n\)-fold loop spaces which is in some sense universal. Consider the opposite of the category of continuous functions between iterated wedges of \(n\)-spheres. The authors show that this is an algebraic theory and, up to weak equivalence, they show that \(n\)-fold loop spaces are the algebras over this theory. They also give a uniqueness result for delooping machines.
