In the present study the authors discuss special aspects of blow-up and critical exponent analysis for classes of parabolic PDEs with non-divergent operators. Here are the basic two models: (1) \(u_t=|\Delta u|^{m-1}\Delta u+u^p\) in \(\mathbb{R}^N\times\mathbb{R}_+\), \(m>1\), \(p>1\). (2) \(u_t=-\nabla\cdot(u^n\nabla\Delta u)+u^p\) in \(\mathbb{R}^N\times \mathbb{R}_+\), where \(n>0\) and \(p>n+1\) are fixed parameters. For the equation the authors develop purely algebraic (dimensional) techniques. As a consequence the authors show that the critical exponents for (1) essentially vary according to the functional setting associated with nonlinear integral multipliers involved. As for the equation (2) the authors show that the critical blow-up exponents are not transcendental and are given by a standard dimensional analysis.
