The paper under review concerns uniqueness problems of meromorphic mappings into complex projective spaces. Let \(f,g: \mathbb{C}^n\to\mathbb{P}^N(\mathbb{C})\) be linearly nondegenerate meromorphic mappings. For a hyperplane \(\mathbb{P}^N(\mathbb{C})\), we denote by \(\overline E(H, f)\) the support of the pullback divisor \(f^*H\). Let \(H_1,\dots,H_q\) be hyperplanes in general position such that \(\dim f^{-1}(H_i\cap H_j)\leq n-2\) for \(i\neq j\). Assume that \(\overline E(H_j, f)\subseteq\overline E(H_j, g)\) for all \(j\) and \(f= g\) on \(\bigcup_{j=1} f^{-1}(H_j)\). The main result in this paper can be stated as follows: If \(q= 3N+2\), and \[ \limsup_{r\to\infty}\Biggl(\sum^{3N+2}_{j=1} N^1_{(f, H_j)}\biggl/\sum^{3N+ 2}_{j=1} N^1_{(g, H_j)}\Biggr)> N/(N+ 1), \] then \(f\) and \(g\) are identical. This gives a generalization of a uniqueness theorem for meromorphic functions of one variable due to C. C. Yang and H. X. Yi.
