Using the Penner-Fock parametrization for the Teichmüller spaces of Riemann surfaces with holes [\textit{R. C. Penner}, Commun. Math. Phys. 113, 299--339 (1987; Zbl 0642.32012); \url{arXiv:hep-th/9312193}] and the \textit{J. E. Nelson}-\textit{T.Regge} algebras [Commun. Math. Phys. 155, No. 3, 561--568 (1993; Zbl 0786.53054)], the authors study string-like free-field representation of the Poisson and quantum algebras of geodesic functions, i.e., trace of elements of \(\mathrm{PSL}(2, \mathbb{R})\) related to geodesics of Riemann surfaces, in the continuous-genus limit.
