The author deals with the extension of the following known result: Let \(f:X\times Y\to\mathbb{R}\) be a separately continuous function defined on the product of Čech-complete topological spaces \(X\) and \(Y\). If \(Y\) is Lindelöf then there exists a dense \(G_\delta\) subset \(P\) of \(X\) such that \(f\) is jointly continuous at each point of \(P\times Y\). The game \(G_X\) played on a topological space \((X,\tau)\), played by two players \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\), is introduced. The topological space \((X,\tau)\) is said to be conditionally \(\alpha\)-favourable if the player \(\alpha\) has a winning strategy in the game \(G_X\). Using the notion of a conditionally \(\alpha\)-favourable space the above statement is proved in a more general setting.
