The cohomology of line bundles on the three-dimensional flag variety (Q865473)

In a previous paper [J. Algebra 258, 255--274 (2002; Zbl 1083.14521)] the author determined an expansion formula, for the character of the cohomology of homogeneous vector bundles over generalized flag varieties, in positive characteristic. In the paper under review, the author considers the particular case of flag varieties \(W\) of dimension three, where the reductive group is \(\text{SL}_3\). Using the previous formula, as well as an infinitesimal analysis of the action of some subgroups, the author determines the character for homogeneous line bundles and some rank \(2\) bundles over \(W\), with small weights. As a consequence of these computations, the author is able to provide a recursive procedure for finding the character of the cohomology of any line bundle over \(W\). Explicit recursive formulas for these characters are then listed.
