On the basin problem for Hénon-like attractors (Q866476)

The author considers the so-called basin problem for the attractors of a family of Hénon-like mappings; namely, the determination of the asymptotic distribution of a typical point within the basin of attraction. The author improves earlier results by \textit{M. Benedicks} and \textit{M. Viana} [Invent. Math. 143, No.~2, 375--434 (2001; Zbl 0967.37023)] and \textit{Q. Wang} and \textit{L.-S. Young} [Commun. Math. Phys. 218, No.~1, 1--97 (2001; Zbl 0996.37040)], by removing a crucial assumption.
