As usual, let \(A_6\) be the alternating group on 6 elements and let \(\mu_4\) be the group of \(4\)-th roots of 1. In a previous paper [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 90, No. 2, 371--394 (2005; Zbl 1071.11042)] the authors have shown that there exists a unique \(K3\) surface \(X\) such that the group \(\text{ Aut(X)}\) contains a subgroup \(G\) that fits in an exact sequence of the form: \[ 1\to A_6\to G\to\mu_4\to1. \] The surface \(X\) is a hypersurface in \(\mathbb{P}^1\times\mathbb{P}^2\) whose explicit equation is given in [loc. cit.]. However there is no explicit description of the group action. Here the authors determine the abstract structure of the group \(G\), by combining group theoretic arguments and the study of the Picard lattice of a \(K3\) surface.
