In the paper it is investigated the ground state of the open \(XXZ\) spin chain with nondiagonal boundary terms which are parametrized by pairs of boundary parameters, in the termodynamic limit, using the new exact solutions [J. Stat. Mech. P05007 (2005); J. Stat. Mech. P11004 (2005), hep-th/0504124; J. Stat. Mech. P08002 (2005), hep-th/0507139.] and the string hypothesis.
