Let \(\mu\) and \(\nu\) be fuzzy subsets of a hemiring \(S\). The \(h\)-product of \(\mu\) and \(\nu\) is defined for all \(x\in S\) by \[ (\mu\circ_h\nu)(x)=\begin{cases}\sup\min\{\mu(a_1),\mu(a_2),\nu(b_1),\nu(b_2)\}\mid\begin{matrix}\text{if there exist }a_1,a_2,b_1,b_2,z\in S\\ \text{ such that }x+a_1b_1+z=a_2b_2+z,\end{matrix}\\ 0\text{ otherwise.}\end{cases} \] In this paper, the authors characterize \(h\)-hemiregular hemirings in terms of fuzzy \(h\)-ideals. In particular, they show that a hemiring \(S\) is \(h\)-hemiregular if and only if for all fuzzy right \(h\)-ideals \(\mu\) and fuzzy left \(h\)-ideals \(\nu\), \(\mu\circ_h\nu=\mu\cap\nu\). They also show that a fuzzy subset \(\zeta\) of a hemiring \(S\) is a prime fuzzy left (right) ideal of \(S\) if and only if \(\zeta\) is two-valued, \(\zeta(0)=1\) and the set of all \(x\in S\) such that \(\zeta(x)=1\) is a prime left (right) ideal of \(S\). The authors give similar results for maximal fuzzy left (right) \(h\)-ideals of hemirings.
