For each bounded symmetric domain \(\Omega\subset \mathbb C^d\), there is an associated family of Hartogs domain \(\tilde{\Omega}\subset \Omega \times \mathbb C^k\), \(k\geq 1\), depending on a parameter \(\mu\). The purpose of this paper is to study the complete Kähler-Einstein metric on \(\tilde{\Omega}\). The basic idea is that even though \(\tilde{\Omega}\) is not a homogeneous domain in general, it admits a subgroup of automorphisms whose orbits are parametrized by the open interval \((0, 1)\). This allows one to reduce the Monge-Ampère equation to an ordinary differential equation. When the parameter \(\mu\) is special, this ODE can be solved explicitly.
