The author has previously proved a result called ``the extended future tube conjecture'' in [Izv. Math. 62, No. 1, 201--213 (1998); translation from Izv. Ross. Akad. Nauk, Ser. Mat. 62, 211--224 (1998; Zbl 0922.32007)]. Here, he discusses several statements concerning analytic continuation and Steinness, by presenting many examples, counterexamples, statements and conjectures related to the subject.
