The authors analyse the motion of a particle under gravitational influence of two massive bodies and a dissipative force. The orbital behavior of the particle is determined from numerical simulations with the use of a Gauss-Radau integrator. The authors investigate the effect of dissipative force on a tiny particle moving in a ring around a planet. It is shown that the Poynting-Robertson drag is responsible for scattering of tiny particles in narrow rings.
