For an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space \(H\), let \(B(H)\) denote the algebra of all bounded linear operators on \(H\). An operator \(A\in B(H)\) is said to be \(p\)-quasihyponormal for some \(0<p\leq 1\), \(A\in p-\theta H\), if \(A^*(|A|^{2p}-|A^*|^{2p})A\geq 0\), where \(|A|=(A^*A)^{\frac 12}\). Also, an operator \(A\in p_*-\theta H\) is defined as the restriction to those \(A\in p-\theta H\) for which \(A^+(0)\leq A^{*+}(0)\). In the present paper, the authors prove that every \(A\in p_*-\theta H\) has the property \((\beta)\). As a corollary, they get that \(A\in p-\theta H\) is not supercyclic. Also, they study some properties of the class of \(p_*-\theta H\), e.g., Weyl's theorems, a Putnam--Fuglede type theorem, and others.
