Weyl group multiple Dirichlet series constructed from quadratic characters (Q870646)

Let \(\Phi\) be an irreducible root system of rank \(r\) with Weyl group \(W\), and let \(K\) be a global field containing the \(n\)th roots of unity. To these data it is associated a multiple Dirichlet series \(Z\) in \(r\) complex variables with coefficients given by \(n\)-th order Gauss sums which is expected to have an analytic continuation to \({\mathbb C}^r\) and to satisfy a group of functional equations isomorphic to \(W\). The authors study the case \(n=2\) and \(\Phi\) simply-laced of rank \(r\). The main result is that the quadratic Weyl group multiple Dirichlet series have a meromorphic continuation to \({\mathbb C}^r\) and satisfy a group of functional equations isomorphic to \(W\).
