The author considers the abstract integrodifferential equation with memory \[ u'(t)=A(\varepsilon)\left[u(t)+\int_{-\infty}^tF(t-s)u(s)ds\right]+Ku(t)+f(t),\;t\geq 0,\;u(s)=\varphi(s), \;s\leq 0,\eqno(1) \] where \(\varepsilon\) is a multi-parameter belonging to an open set \(P\) of a finite-dimensional normed linear space, \(A(\varepsilon)\) is a linear, closed and non-densely defined operator acting on a Banach space \(X\), \(F(t)\), \(t\geq 0\), and \(K\) are linear, bounded operators, and \(\varphi\) is the memory. Under natural assumptions, it is shown that \((1)\) can be rewritten as a Cauchy problem driven by the infinitesimal generator of an integrated semigroup \(\mathcal{S}(t,\varepsilon)\), and \(\varepsilon\mapsto \mathcal{S}(t,\varepsilon)\) is strongly continuous uniformly for \(t\) in bounded intervals. An application to a problem in viscoelasticity is also included.
