Some new multiple fixed point theorems are obtained in cones in Banach spaces by introducing the concepts of O-bounded cones and O-positive linear operators. The fixed point index for continuous maps in cones is one of the main tools in the proofs, especially the additivity and homotopy properties of the index are used. The abstract results are applied to ordinary differential equations and their systems, where the existence of solutions as well as multiple solutions are obtained.
