In his paper in [Bogomolov, Fedor (ed.) et al., Motives, polylogarithms and Hodge theory. Part I: Motives and polylogarithms. Papers from the International Press conference, Irvine, CA, USA, June 1998. Somerville, MA: International Press. Int. Press Lect. Ser. 3, No. 1, 211--244 (2002; Zbl 1048.11035)], \textit{D. Zagier} proved that the generating functions for the traces of level~1 singular moduli are weight \(3/2\) modular forms. He also obtained generalization for ``twisted traces'', and for traces of special non-holomorphic modular functions. In this article, the authors show that such results hold for arbitrary weakly holomorphic and cuspidal half-integral weight Poincaré series in Kohnen's plus-space. In their proof, they use properties of facts concerning half-integral weight Kloosterman sums and Salié sums. Moreover, their results provide exact formulas for such traces.
