\textit{E. L. Stark} [Math. Mag. 47, 197--202 (1974; Zbl 0291.40004)] used FĂ©jer's kernel \[ {{1\over {2(n+1)}}{{\sin^2[(n+1)\theta/2]}\over {\sin^2 (\theta/2)}}}={1\over 2} + \sum_{k=1}^n\biggl (1 - {k \over{n+1}}\biggr )\cos(k\theta) \tag{1} \] to prove \[ A_{2m}=\pi^{2m} \biggl \{{{(-1)^{m+1}}\over {2(2m+1)!}} - \sum_{j=1}^{m-1}{{{(-1)^{m+j}}\over {[2(m-j)+1]!\pi^{2j}}}A_{2j}} \biggr \} \quad (m \in {\mathbb N}) \tag{2} \] with \(A_s={{2^s-2}\over {2^s}}\zeta(s) \quad (s>1).\) The authors avoid (1) and obtain (2) by using the simpler Lagrange's trigonometric identity \[ {{\sin[(2n+1)\theta /2]}\over {2\sin(\theta /2)}}={1\over 2} +\sum_{k=1}^n \cos(k\theta) \quad (0<\theta<2\pi). \]
