      Interpolation by radial basis function (RBF) has become a powerful tool in multivariate approximation theory to solve scattered data interpolation problem. The advantage of the method is to solve high-dimensional problems. In this paper the theory of RBF together with the Galerkin method is used to deal with partial differential equation with Dirichlet boundary conditions. To solve the problem Robin boundary conditions are used to approximate Dirichlet boundary conditions. The convergence and error estimates of this method are given in arbitrary dimension. Some numerical examples are also given to illustrate the method. The conclusion is that when a meshless Galerkin methods together with RBFs are used to solve the Dirichlet problem it is much better to use the Robin problem to approximate the Dirichlet problem than to solve it directly.
