      The paper under review studies the Cauchy problem for the Einstein-Boltzmann system with a positive cosmological constant in the spatially flat Friedman-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker space-time. Under these symmetry assumptions the space-time metric can be written in the form \[ g=-dt^2+a^2(t)[(dx^1)^2+(dx^2)^2+(dx^3)^2], \] whereas the matter distribution function \(f=f(t,p^1,p^2,p^3)\) depends only on the time and the 4-momentum of the particles. The Einstein-Boltzmann system reduces to a system of PDEs in \((a,f)\). The main result of the paper claims that for any initial data of the Cauchy problem (satisfying the Einstein constraint equations) the Einstein-Boltzmann system has a unique solution in the future. The distribution function \(f\) is continuous and uniformly bounded and satisfies the Boltzmann equation in the mild form.
