    Let \(\Gamma \) be a smooth immersed curve in \(\mathbb R^d\) with parametrization \(t\rightarrow \gamma(t)\) defined on a compact interval \(I\) and let \(\chi\in C^\infty \) be supported in the interior of \(I\). Let \(\mu \equiv \mu _{\gamma ,\chi }\) be defined by \(< \mu ,f> = \int f(\gamma (t))\chi (t)dt\) and define by \(\hat{\mu} (\xi) \) its Fourier transform. For a large parameter \(R\) sharp lower and close to sharp upper bounds for the decay rates of \(\hat{\mu}(R\omega )\) as a function on the unit sphere \(S^{d-1}\) in the \(L^q(S^{d-1}),\;2\leq q\leq \infty \), norms are obtained.
