The paper under review continues the series of papers by the same authors devoted to the theory of symmetric functions in the superspace. By superspace the paper refers to a collection of variables \((x_1,\dots,x_N,\theta_1,\dots,\theta_N)\) called, respectively, bosonic and fermionic (where the \(x_i\)'s are commuting and the \(\theta_i\)'s are anticommuting variables). In the present paper the authors construct Jack polynomials in the superspace which are orthogonal with respect to a natural combinatorial scalar product. Surprisingly, they coincide with the Jack polynomials in superspace introduced in the authors' paper [Commun. Math. Phys. 242, No. 1--2, 331--360 (2003; Zbl 1078.81033)] and orthogonal with respect to an analytical scalar product. This analytical scalar product is rooted in the characterization of the Jack polynomials in terms of an eigenvalue problem, as the common eigenfunctions of a supersymmetric quantum mechanical many-body problem, the trigonometric Calogero-Moser-Sutherland model. One of the main tools of the present paper is the generalization (including an extra parameter) of the authors' theory developed recently in [J. Algebr. Comb. 24, No.~2, 209--238 (2006; Zbl 1115.05093)]. The paper concludes with several conjectures related with problems studied there.
