Let \(X=(X,d,\mu)\) be a metric measure space equipped with a metric \(d\) and a doubling measure \(\mu\). Assume that \(\mu\) supports a weak \(p\)-Poincaré inequality on \(X\) with \(1\leq p<\infty\). The authors prove that then a uniform domain \(\Omega\subset X\) is an~extension domain for the Newtonian space \(N^{1,p}(\Omega)\). This is one of the main results of the paper.
