Random fixed point theorems are stochastic generalization of classical fixed point theorems. \textit{A.\,T.\thinspace Bharucha--Reid} [Bull.\ Am.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 82, 641--657 (1976; Zbl 0339.60061)] gave wings to this theory. \textit{I.\,Beg} and \textit{N.\,Shahzad} [see, e.\,g., Boll.\ Unione Mat.\ Ital., VII.\ Ser., A 9, No.\,3, 493--503 (1995; Zbl 0857.47039)] used different iteration processes to obtain common random fixed points. The aim of this paper is to study the necessary conditions for the convergence of random iteration scheme to common random fixed points ot two pairs of compatible random operators satisfying Meir--Keeler type conditions in Polish spaces.
