On the dynamics of Kac \(p\)-spin glasses (Q885040)

The paper deals with mean-field spin glass models, and extends to the analysis of their dynamics, techniques and results which have been applied to the equilibrium of infinite interaction range. To this end one will consider the p-spin model and one will study successively the dynamics in the Kac limit and the form that the relaxation time will have in an asymptotic expansion in the range of interaction. As pointed out by the author, the mathematics so involved is rather engineering mathematics involving many heuristics (but this does not means that it is not interesting!) The conclusion of the author is that there should exist, in off-equilibrium and equilibrium dynamics at low temperature, two different time regimes for large interaction range.
