In this paper it is proposed a three-dimensional interface model based on the level set setting for treating the simulation of particle dissolution in multi-component alloys. Alternatively, a cut-cell method is developed to adapt the reference mesh to the interface each time step. The classical Picard iteration technique is proposed to solve the nonlinear coupling on the concentrations of the various alloying elements at the interface. The numerical results provided in the paper indicate an exponential acceleration of the dissolution process with the circumference of the initial particle.
