The paper under review deals with the global qualitative dynamics of the integral curves of complex polynomial vector fields of the form \(P(z)\frac{d}{dz}\), where \(P\) is a monic polynomial of degree \(d\). The space \(\Xi_d\) of these polynomial vector fields can be decomposed into classes \(\mathcal{C}\) where the vector fields have the same topological structure. The first author studies the geometric structure of these classes \(\mathcal{C}\), showing in particular that each of them is a connected manifold. She also studies the changes in the separatrix structure for small perturbations of the vector field: she shows that the structurally stable vector fields are dense in \(\Xi_d\) and also studies some non-splitting bifurcations. The appendix to the article, co-authored with Tan Lei, shows that landing separatrices are stable under small perturbations, unless the corresponding equilibrium point splits.
