Let \(\mathbb{C}\) be the field of complex numbers, \(z\) be a complex variable, \(p(z)\in \mathbb{C}[z]\) and \(\deg p(z)=d\). The paper deals with equations of the form \[ {y}''=p(z)y.\tag{1} \] From an applied point of view, those equations (1) that have a solution subdominant in at least two Stokes sectors are of special interest. So, the main goal of the author is to present some results about the following (homogenized) spectral problem. {Problem. } To given polynomial \(p(z)\) find the set of all \(\lambda \in {{\mathbb{C}}^{*}}\) for which the equation \[ {y}''={{\lambda }^{2}}p(z)y\tag{2} \] has a solution subdominant in at least two distinct Stokes sectors. This problem was consider in papers of \textit{M. V. Fedorjuk} [Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 68(110), 81--110 (1965; Zbl 0238.34032)] and other mathematicians. To a example, it was proved that the spectrum of problem (2) is discrete and it has accumulation rays. The author describes in detail the above results and refines them. For example, he proves that the number of accumulation rays can be any positive integer between \( (d-1) \) and \( \begin{pmatrix} d \\ 2 \end{pmatrix} \).
