The main result of this paper establishes that there exist three-dimensional Cartan-Hadamard manifolds with sectional curvatures at most \(-1\), such that the asymptotic Dirichlet problem is not solvable for any continuous nonconstant boundary data for a large class of equations of the type \[ \text{div}\, {\mathcal A}(|\nabla u|^2)\nabla u=0. \] The class of considered quasilinear elliptic partial differential equations is quite large and it includes the minimal graph equation.
