The author proves that if \(K\) and \(L\) are compact spaces and the Banach spaces \(C(K)\) and \(C(L)\) are isomorphic, then \(K\) has a \(\pi\)-base consisting of open sets \(U\) such that \(\overline{U}\) is a continuous image of some compact subspace of \(L\). As a consequence, new results are obtained on the isomorphism classes of the spaces \(C(K)\), where \(K=[0, 1]^{\kappa}\) for cardinal numbers \(\kappa\) or \(K\) are Corson compact spaces.
