In this paper the authors study functions of type \(F(z)=\frac{z^3}{f(z)g(z)}\), where \(f\) and \(g\) are normalized functions analytic in the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\) such that \(f(z)/z\) and \(g(z)/z\) do not vanish in \(\mathbb{D}\), with respect to the class \(\mathcal{U}\) consisting of normalized analytic functions \(f\) satisfying \[ \left|\left[ \frac{z}{f(z)} \right]^2 f'(z)-1 \right|<1\tag{1} \] for all \(z\in\mathbb{D}\). This is subclass of the class of univalent functions. The authors find sufficient conditions over the coefficients from the expansion of \(f \) and \(g\), and largest \(r_*\), such that \(F\) satisfies (1) for all \(|z|<r_*\), i.e., \(r_*\) is the radius of univalence of \(F\). Certain application of the obtained result is given.
