The author considers some abstract axiomatics of a closed convex subset of a Banach space. To this end, the axiomatics is specified of convex combination space that stems from \textit{P. Terán} and \textit{I. Molchanov} [J. Theor. Probab. 19, No. 4, 875--898 (2006; Zbl 1113.60014)]. A similar axiomatic description of convex subset of a normed vector space was given in [\textit{A. G. Pinsker} and \textit{V. V. Kuz'mina}, Izv. Vyssh. Uchebn. Zaved., Mat. 1972, No. 9(124), 90--94 (1972; Zbl 0257.46018)]. Some applications to conditional expectation are given.
