Construction of chiral 4-polytopes with alternating or symmetric automorphism group (Q894248)

The authors establish that for all but finitely many integers \(n\), both the alternating group \(A_n\) and the symmetric group \(S_n\) are the automorphism groups of abstract chiral \(4\)-polytopes of Schläfli type \(\{3,3,k\}\) for some \(k\). The vertex-figures of the polytopes constructed are abstract chiral polyhedra.
