In this paper under review, the authors study the sign changes of Fourier coefficients of two cusp forms at the same time. Precisely, they show that the product of the corresponding Fourier coefficients is both positive and negative infinitely often. This leads to the desired sign change property. In earlier work, the second author and and \textit{J. Sengupta} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 137, No. 11, 3563--3567 (2009; Zbl 1259.11047)] obtained similar results modulo the action of certain Galois automorphisms. Here they also strengthen such results by abolishing the dependence on Galois conjugacy. The authors approach uses a strong result of \textit{D. Ramakrishnan} in an appendix in [\textit{W. Duke} and \textit{E. Kowalski}, Invent. Math. 139, No. 1, 1--39 (2000; Zbl 1033.11026)], which states that the Hecke eigenvalues of a normalized Hecke eigenform is determined up to quadratic twists of Fourier coefficients supported on a set of primes having large enough density. Another key ingredient is a classical result of Landau.
