The authors propose a numerical scheme for the description of the motion of a thick thread, that is a body having a dimension much greater than the two others. Using the balance equations, they first write the problem describing the evolution of the velocity field with respect both to the time parameter and to the arclength along the thread. Dirichlet boundary conditions at both ends of the thread together with initial conditions for this velocity field complete the problem for which the authors assume an existence result. The authors present a numerical scheme based on an implicit finite difference method with respect to the time parameter. Unfortunately, they do not present any result obtained when applying this numerical scheme. They just claim that ``the calculations have confirmed the efficiency of the proposed algorithm'', when applied to a motion of a thread which is initially submitted to a rotation of constant angular velocity.
