Adolf Hurwitz, born in Hildesheim in 1859 and famous for his work in complex analysis, number theory, geometry, and algebra, has left some interesting geometrical construction of folded paper. The author has studied these constructions in the mathematical notebooks of Hurwitz as well as in the archive of the ETH Zürich, and presents here a nice overview of these unusual activities of this great mathematician. The author succeeds in analysing some of Hurwitz's constructions and gives a historical valuation.
