The authors obtain a solution for the problem on a plane-parallel gas flow with velocity \({\mathbf U}_\infty\) past a fixed uniformly heated spherical particle. This is also a solution to the Navier-Stokes equations that are linearized with respect to velocity in the spherical coordinate system. Also, for the equations the power-law dependence of the molecular transport coefficients (viscosity and thermal conductivity) is taken into account and the gas medium density is supposed to be depend on the temperature. Furthermore, the authors are studying the nonisothermal flow of a gaseous medium past a uniformly heated sphere. Finally, the uniqueness of the solutions are proved. The bibliography contains 10 items including some monographs or books.
