A famous theorem of \textit{Yakov M. Eliashberg} and \textit{W. P. Thurston} [Confoliations. University Lecture Series. 13. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (1998; Zbl 0893.53001)] asserts that a taut, transversely oriented \(C^2\)-foliation of a \(3\)-manifold (which is not the product foliation of \(S^2\times S^1\)) can be continuously deformed into a family of \(C^\infty\)-contact structures which are weakly symplectically fillable and universally tight. The paper under review generalizes this result to \(C^{1,0}\)-foliations, that is \(C^1\)-foliations with a continuous tangent plane field, satisfing a simple transitivity condition.
