Let L be a free module of finite rank over a principal ideal domain, let M be a submodule of L with invariant factors \(\alpha_ 1| \alpha_ 2|...| \alpha_ r\). Products of the form \(\alpha_{k_ 1}\alpha_{k_ 2}...\alpha_{k_ s}\), \(1\leq k_ 1<...<k_ s\leq r\), are described by lcm's and gcd's of weights of rank s direct summands of L.
