The author considers a class of nonlinear systems with a linear time- invariant nominal part and an uncertain nonlinear perturbation part, and proposes an output feedback strategy with bounded adaptive scalar gain. This strategy renders the zero state of the system a global attractor. The main feature of this paper is that discontinuous feedbacks are admitted and analyzed in terms of the differential inclusion formulation of the basic problem of stabilization.
