The author studies the transform \(C_{\alpha}\) having the kernel \(\sqrt{2/n}Cos(\theta -(\pi \alpha /2))\) where \[ C_{\alpha}f(t)=\lim_{U\to \infty}\sqrt{2/n}\int^{U}_{0}f(u)\cos (tu-\pi \alpha /2)du,\quad f\in L^ 2(0,\infty). \] The special cases \(C_ 0\) and \(C_ 1\) are, respectively, the cosine and sine transforms on \(L^ 2(0,\infty)\). The author constructs the inverse of the transform \(C_{\alpha}\) and proves that, like \(C_{\alpha}\), it is also a bounded transform on \(L^ 2(0,\infty)\) for suitable \(\alpha\).
