On knot invariants related to some statistical mechanical models (Q909944)

An aim of this paper is to clarify the relation between three types of statistical mechanical models (vertex models, spin models and interaction round a face models and topological knot theory. The statistical mechanical models may be defined on a knot diagram and a suitable variable on the partition function of the system is often a knot invariant.
