If \(S=S(n)\), \(n\in D\), is a fuzzy net and e is a point in X then a set \({\mathcal G}=\{(S,E)\}\) is called a convergence class for X if some conditions are satisfied. A characterization of fuzzy topology in a nonempty set is given. In particular, for each fuzzy convergence class \({\mathcal G}\) for X a map C: \(I^ X\to I^ X\) is induced as follows: for \(A\subset I^ X\) it is defined \({\mathcal G}(A)=\{e:\) for certain net S in A, (S,e)\(\in {\mathcal G}\}\). \(c(A)\equiv A^ c=\vee {\mathcal G}(A)\). The correspondence \(A\mapsto A^ c\) is a closure operator. The properties of this closure operator are studied.
