Considering a class of free energy density functions and assuming a stress relation within viscous part, the authors investigate a (nonlinear) model of phase transitions consisting of 3 partial differential equations for deformation, temperature and strain. They show the existence of a global classical solution by using \(L_ 2\)- techniques, the main body of the paper being devoted to the derivation of a priori estimates for derivatives of the solution.
