A survey of general orthogonal polynomials for weights on finite and infinite intervals (Q910652)

This is a fairly accurate and very interesting survey article which describes mainly the asymptotic properties of orthogonal polynomials defined on a union of compact intervals, the unit circle and some arcs, and the whole real line. The main theme is the connection between the asymptotic properties of the polynomials and those of their leading coefficients. Various related results and open problems are also discussed. However, the reader should be aware that the subject under discussion is developing very, very rapidly.
