The author considers a generalized Carleman boundary value problem for multiply connected domains \({\mathcal D}_ 1\), \({\mathcal D}_ 2:\) \[ \phi_ 2[\alpha (t)]=a(t)\phi_ 1(t)+b(t)\overline{\phi_ 1(t)}+c(t),\quad t\in L^ 1=\partial {\mathcal D}_ 1, \] where \(\phi_ j(z)\) are analytic in \({\mathcal D}_ j\), \(j=1,2\), and \(\alpha\) (t) preserves the orientation. The conditions of solvability of this problem are obtained. Remark. The author does not know today the approach of the theory of singular integral operators with shift which may be found f.e. in the monograph [\textit{G. S. Litvinchuk}, Boundary value problems and singular integral equations with shifts (1977; Zbl 0462.30029)].
