It is considered a set of r-convex functions, i.e. all divided differences whose r-th orders are non-negative. Let \(R_ m\) be an error functional of the compound quadrature formula \({\mathcal C}_ m\). It is proved that \[ | R_ m(f)| \leq \delta ((b-a)/m)\omega_{r- 1}(f,(b-a)/m), \] where \(\omega_ r\) denotes the modulus of continuity of order r. (\({\mathcal C}_ m\) is a compound quadrature formula, i.e. \({\mathcal C}_ m\) is obtained by dividing the interval of integration [a,b] into m subintervals of equal length, and applying the same quadrature formula \(Q_ n\) to every subinterval.) \(\delta\) depends on \(Q_ n\) only.
