The author discusses the equation \[ x''(t)+f(x(t))x'(t)+g(t,x(t),x(- t))=e(t) \] in [-1,1], to which certain boundary conditions are associated. Existence and uniqueness results are proved under general continuity assumptions on f and Caratheodory conditions on g, to which some growth and Liptschitz-type hypotheses are added.
